I’m finally back in work mode, though the cold weather has made me want to hide under my duvet until spring!
However, as a photographer cold weather is not an excuse to stop work, there’s plenty to keep us busy in the cold winter months, whether you’re into portraiture, landscape macro etc. Whatever you’re into there’s something to keep you busy in winter.
My main focus at the moment is Flash. Primarily because I got a shiny new SB600 for Christmas, and am now looking for new opportunities to play with it. I’m working on a nice long review of it to come shortly, but my initial impressions are very positive. I haven’t managed to think of anything yet that I’d like to do with it but can’t….
I’ve made New Year’s Resolutions this to really focus on being the best photographer I can, to look for new techniques to really seek out the gaps in my knowledge and fill them in. I expect I’ll be buying myself a lot more kit too, my want list seems to expand exponentially.
Anyway, whatever New Year’s Resolutions you might have made this year, I hope you are successful. Let’s really strive to keep to our resolutions for once!
