I don’t take a lot of pictures of children, as they are not so easy to coerce as adults, however, where adults can be self-concious and awkward, children seldom are. As such, shooting children can occasionally be extremely rewarding, as pictures of them have a sense of the natural that is famously difficult to capture in adults.

I think this picture is a good example, using minimal lighting and a 50mm lens (fast becoming my favourite lens!) I’ve managed to create an effective shot of this little boy. In short: I’m pleased with this shot.
